Winged Eyeliner Takes The Catwalk

Winged Eyeliner Takes The Catwalk

From New York City to London to Milan, Fashion Month showcases up and coming trends in beauty and fashion. The Spring/Summer 2015 shows were no exception.

In between the teased hair and clean face looks on many of the runways, one common trend, winged eyeliner, stole the spotlight as a beauty trend for the upcoming season.

For Dolce and Gabbana, make-up artist Pat McGrath played up the beauty look with a slight winged eyeliner.  The simplicity of the black liner makes this look wearable for everyday. Bring color into the look with a subtle berry lip, similar to that worn by the D&G model.

Celine and Prada displayed more dramatic winged eyeliner looks for their runway shows. Bold black strokes draw the attention right to the eyes, making these looks perfect for the evening. The models’ faces were kept bare to balance the intensity of the liner.

Pushing the limits of this trend, Pat McGrath created this exaggerated winged eyeliner look for Givenchy’s runway show. With its soft metallic hue, this look is for anyone wanting to make a statement.

The runways may make this trend seem daunting, but winged liner is in fact very wearable. These looks can be used as a guide to either experiment with your daily routine or for a night out.
