From the In to the Out

From the In to the Out

Syracuse is known for its long, harsh winters, but what isn’t always acknowledged is how hot the buildings can get. The best way to combat the transition from the icy quad to the boiling classroom is with layers. Zipped is dissecting a layered outfit from the inside, out to show you how to avoid looking bulky!

The first layer is your indoor layer. Pair a fit and flair skirt with over the knee socks and tall leather boots to keep your legs warm. As for your shirt, try a bright sweater to combat the dreary gray Syracuse skies. For your top, or outdoor layer, throw on a mid-thigh length coat with a scarf and a beanie to keep you cozy and warm. These items are easily removable for the overheated classroom where you can show off your winter-chic first layer. (Disclaimer: gloves are optional for those truly brutal days!)
