Mad for Mod

Mad for Mod

Every year there is a resurgence of vintage sillohuettes, and this spring is no different with a throwback to the 60’s. Whether it’s the fact that spring is slowly approaching or that Mad Men returns this weekend, I have been on the lookout to quickly secure a retro ensemble.

Anyone with this same fashion fixation will love Daphne Groeneveld’s editorial in the April issue of Flair magazine. The top model is featured in both black and white and color wearing all sorts of mod checks and vintage lace shifts. The real cherry on top is the old bedroom setting with, what else: male pinup photos on the walls.

Recreate this first look with a tight knit cable sweater and a matching white, textured pencil skirt. Pump up your look with some bold, black cat-eye frames.

Be  a vintage-vixen in a white lace top paired with a cute peter pan collar. Finish the look off with a classic tweed mini skirt, and accessorize with a huge black satin bow for your hair and a silver link bracelet for your arm.
