Street style stole the spotlight from the runway this year at the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, once again proving that it is possible to look good for much less. The fashionistas and fashionistos that wandered the streets of New York appeared equally as chic as the elite few who walked and viewed the shows.
Though I must admit that I could spend all day gazing longingly at the gauzy evening gowns of Ralph Lauren, I find it much more fascinating – and much less stressful on my wallet – to pull pieces of clothing from several different sources to put together a look that could have come straight from the catwalk.
