Cupcakes and Cashmere

For blogger Emily Schuman, the only thing better than food is fashion. On her blog, Cupcakes and Cashmere, she combines the two, sharing her fashion-forward style right along with delicious recipes. (Only on Cupcakes and Cashmere can you find instructions on how to make your own thin mints right below fashion photos from the streets of Los Angeles.)

Just as much with food as with fashion, Emily offers a fresh perspective on seemingly everyday things. A simple prosciutto sandwich becomes interesting with the addition of fig jam. An everyday little black dress is enlivened with the addition of a fun tulle necklace and sunglasses.

No matter what is being covered, the content on the blog is always interesting and fun to read. Many of the posts seem straight out of the pages of our favorite fashion magazines (Emily does have some magazine experience–She made guest appearances on The Hills while she interned at Teen Vogue). Beautiful photography, fun lists and interesting collage collections make it easy to spend hours scrolling through posts.

Through her “five things” posts, she shares her personal taste in food and fashion with five things she currently loves. Other collage-styled posts feature magazine-like lists of hot items from current trends. Peppered between posts are delicious recipes for different and interesting snacks and meals. She even shares design ideas. Readers could follow Emily as she decorated her apartment and ogle at her enormous closet (and even more enormous shoe collection).

Whether you are looking for an idea of what to wear or what to eat for lunch, you will leave the blog feeling excited and inspired.
