What Are You Wearing This Winter?

So now that we’re all getting ready for finals week and the frigid Syracuse winters, it’s time to break out our winter coats and jackets. Needless to say, us fashionistas at Syracuse University must always look chic and trendy, even in the below zero degree weather. Don’t you worry girls, Designers have created an array of different styles this season, so you will have many options when selecting your new winter coat. Rodarte and Michael Kors showcased the “Floor-grazing” overcoat on their runways this season, displaying a chic and modern tailored look.

If you are going for something a bit more casual try the blanket coat, which was seen on the runways of Marc Jacobs and Derek Lam. If you love color or just want to add a pop of brightness to your generally neutral wardrobe, try a bright and fun “primary-colored” coat, in the “puffer” style or even a stylish trench. This trend is sure to bring you out of your winter funk and add some brightness to your wardrobe this winter season.

My personal favorite is the faux-fur jacket, seen on the runways of the beloved Alexander Wang and of course in Rachel Zoe’s new clothing line. I love the luxe chicness that a faux fur jacket brings to any ensemble. It really adds spice to any outfit and will definitely keep you warm this winter. This trend comes in many options, from just a touch of fur on the collar of a timeless camel colored trench coat or if you really love this trend, try a full-on vest or jacket.

Whatever you choose, this season, you’ll have an abundance of options to choose from. Click the links below to check out some of these more affordable gorgeous winter sheaths:
